Amazon Promotional Credit for MP3

  • I’m amongst the few that still pay for music and receive real copies in the mail.
  • I have a Netflix subscription.
  • I don’t download torrents.
  • I do use Youtube, but you might ask, who doesn’t.

Amazon has offered promotional credit over the years for free mp3s and continues to do so. The catch is, the promotional credit has an expiration date.

So this scenerio might exist:

  1. You buy some music.
  2. You receive an email for promotional credit.
  3. You ignore it, because you are not looking for music.
  4. The credit expires.
  5. New music is released that hasn’t been played for 20 years.
  6. You try to cash your credit.
  7. You’re up the creek.

So why wouldn’t you pay for the new album? Because the credit you supposedly earned was the value of the cd you wanted.

What’s the point? Back to Youtube.

Defnitely support your favorite artists by buying their art, but don’t tease me Amazon.
